Dr Monowar Hossain

Dr Mono is a visiting consultant physician and geriatrician attached with various private hospitals. Has worked in all major tertiary hospitals in SA, including RAH, FMC, TQEH, LMH and Modbury Hospital -Completed specialisation in Geriatric Medicine (2019) as well as General Medicine (2020) (FRACP- fellow of Australasian College of Physicians) in Australia -Also completed MRCP (Member of Royal Colleges of Physicians, UK) in 2018 -Currently working in Royal Adelaide Hospital as a Consultant Geriatrician -Also working as a General Physician in Ashford Hospital, -Doing OPD clinic as a Geriatrician at Northern Specialist Suites, SA and Access Aged care Telehealth

Before joining RAH, Dr Mono worked about nine months as a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician at Mount Gambier Hospital where he contributed enormously towards teaching and quality improvement projects there -Special interest: Dementia/cognitive assessment, Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, Parkinsonism, diabetes management in the elderly and Medicinal Cannabis. -Passionate about teaching: involved with various teaching programmes and affiliated with the University of Adelaide as a Clinical lecturer -Interests Outside employment: community activities and volunteer works; involved with multiple social and community organisations.
